Terms of use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SynthChronics websites, applications, and services (the “Service”), provided by SynthChronics (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your Account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required by your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. User Content & Licenses

“User Content” means photos, videos, audio samples, prompts, text, and any materials you upload or create.

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service and to generate outputs at your request.
  • You represent you have all rights and consents necessary to upload and process any image/voice of another person.
  • We may generate “Outputs” (stories, images, videos, audio). Subject to third-party model terms, we assign to you our rights in the Outputs we can assign. You are responsible for how you use them and for complying with applicable laws.

3. Acceptable Use

  • No illegal, harmful, or infringing content; no harassment, doxxing, hate, sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • No impersonation without consent; no biometric misuse (faces/voices) without rights/permissions.
  • No reverse engineering, scraping, automated bulk requests that exceed rate limits, or interfering with the Service.
  • No content that violates privacy, publicity, IP, or export control laws.

4. Third-Party Services & Models

The Service may connect to third-party AI providers and infrastructure (e.g., text, image/video, TTS). Your use is also subject to those providers’ terms, which may affect ownership and permitted uses of Outputs.

5. Plans, Credits, and Payments

  • We may offer free tiers, subscriptions, or pay-as-you-go credits. Details are shown at purchase.
  • Payments are handled by our payment processor. Taxes may apply.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime to stop future charges; access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Unless required by law or our refund policy, fees are non-refundable.

6. Content Review & Safety

We may review content for policy violations and safety, and remove or disable content or accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

  • We own the Service, software, site design, and our trademarks (including “SynthChronics”).
  • Do not use our marks without permission, except as allowed by law.

8. Disclaimers

The Service and Outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that Outputs will be accurate, reliable, or fit for a particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You should independently review Outputs before public or commercial use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service or Outputs. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the claim or (b) USD 100.

10. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your User Content, your use of Outputs, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or create risk for us or other users. Upon termination, certain provisions survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity).

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service and update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you via the Service or email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict of laws. Courts located in Ukraine will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
